The Files page is a file manager in your browser. It works on the same files as SFTP, and everything happens as your own account.
Find your way
- Click a folder to open it. .. (up one folder) goes back, and the path at the top takes you to any folder above.
- Your website's files are in
example.dk/public.
What you can do
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Open or edit a file | Click the file name. Text files up to 2 MB open in an editor; choose Save when done. |
| Upload | Choose Upload and pick a file of up to 25 MB. Upload a ZIP and unpack it for many files. |
| Download | Choose Download next to the file. |
| New file or folder | Under New, choose File or Folder, type the name and choose Create. |
| Rename | Choose Rename next to the file or folder and type the new name. |
| Delete | Tick the files and folders and choose Delete under Selected. Deleted files can only be brought back from a backup. |
| Make a ZIP | Tick files and folders, type a name for the ZIP file under Selected and choose Make ZIP. |
| Unpack a ZIP | Choose Unpack next to the ZIP file. Files with the same names are overwritten. |
Bigger jobs
For many files or files larger than 25 MB, use SFTP. A good way to move a whole website is to make one ZIP file, upload it with SFTP and unpack it in the file manager.
