Help / Your account

Your account, password and two-factor authentication

Change your password and language, turn on two-factor authentication and create API tokens.

Your personal settings are under Profile and security in the menu.

Change your password

Enter your current password and the new one twice, then choose Change password. It must have at least 12 characters with upper- and lower-case letters, a number and a symbol. A password manager can create and remember a strong one for you.

Language

Choose Dansk or English under Language. The panel and the e-mails we send you follow this choice. The help pages can also be read in the other language with the link at the top of each page.

Two-factor authentication

With two-factor authentication, signing in needs a 6-digit code from an app on your phone in addition to your password.

  1. Install an authenticator app, for example Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator or 1Password.
  2. Choose Turn on two-factor authentication and confirm your password.
  3. Scan the QR code with the app and enter the 6-digit code it shows.
  4. Choose Show recovery codes and keep them somewhere safe, for example printed or in your password manager. Each code works once if you lose your phone.

If you lose both your phone and your recovery codes, contact us. We will check who you are before we switch it off.

API tokens

API tokens let a script or your own system use the panel's API with your login. A token can do everything your login can, so give it a clear name, keep it secret and revoke it when it is no longer used.

Logins for colleagues

If your login has full access, you see Logins in the menu. There you give colleagues and your web designer their own login:

  1. Under New login, enter their name and e-mail address.
  2. Choose what they may use, for example only E-mail or Websites and WordPress and Files and SFTP. Full access, including logins also lets them manage other logins.
  3. Choose Create login. They get an e-mail with a link to choose their own password; you never see it.

Next to each login you can change its Access, choose E-mail sign-in link, turn it off for a while with Disable, or delete it with Remove. You cannot change your own login there, and the last login with full access cannot be removed.

For file access only, an extra SFTP login is often enough.
